How do I clear red message 0006 on a Virginia corporate income tax return?

If there is a balance due on a Virginia corporate return, the payment must be made through the e-File system as a direct debit or the corporation may pay with an ACH Credit established through the corporation's bank or through the VA DOR web site at https://www.tax.virginia.gov/payments.
If paid online using the VA DOR payment options, please mark the box at the bottom of VA 500 - Corp Income Tax Return screen.
This EF Message is produced when a payment is due to Virginia on a VA 500.
To clear the EF Message, check the Taxpayer is paying by EFT option on the VA 500 – Corp Income Tax Return screen in VA data entry.
