10502: PB Error 76 - Path Not Found When Updating Client from Last Year

Networks + Operating Systems

When I try to update a client from last year, I see an error message PB Error 76: Path not found.

This issue is caused by a current year path problem. Drake can't find a folder on the current year data path in which to put an updated client. Drake has detected an invalid current year data path where an updated client would be saved, either

  • the current year path on the Data Locations screen is invalid – there is no DT folder at the location to which the path points.
  • the current year path on the Data Locations screen is valid, but the numbered folder doesn't exist inside the DT folder where the client you are updating from last year would be saved.

Network note:  A mapping error or other network damage can cause error messages to appear. On a network, you must know your Drake network configuration to resolve the problem. More than one DT folder may exist on the network, especially on a peer-to-peer network.
