12367: QuickBooks or Sage 50 Conversion Fails (CWU)


CWU Tools Generally

CWU: QuickBooks and Sage 50 (PeachTree) conversion is not working even though I have followed every step at File > Import QuickBooks or Sage 50 (PeachTree) Files.

In CWU, when you try to import a file exported by QuickBooks or Sage 50 (PeachTree), CWU cannot find the export file if you have renamed it or saved it to the wrong location. You see an error message that begins with CONVERSION FAILED! (see the chart below).

To resolve this, open QuickBooks or Sage 50 (PeachTree), re-export the file (do not change the file name supplied by QuickBooks or Sage 50 (PeachTree), and make sure you export to the correct location), which is identified in the error message.

CONVERSION FAILED! Cannot find the QuickBooks export file 'export.IIF' on Drive C.Re-export or move the file into the '\CWU20YY\QB Conversion Files' directory. *.IIF file exists in the \CWU20YY\QB Conversion Files directory, but the file is not named "export.IIF". You renamed the .IIF file to something other than "export" Re-export, but don't change the name of the export file.
CONVERSION FAILED! If you have already exported a client from within QuickBooks, you may not have specified the required 'Save-To' directory.You should export to : \CWU20YY\QB Conversion Files *.IIF files does not exist in the \CWU20YY\QB Conversion Files directory You saved the export file to the wrong location Re-export to the correct directory
Or, you changed the .IIF file extension. Re-export, but don't change the name of the export file.
Sage 50 (PeachTree) Import Errors
CONVERSION FAILED! Cannot find the Sage 50 (PeachTree)export files named *.CSV.Re-export or move the file into the '\CWU20YY\PT Conversion Files' directory. None of the following files exists in the \CWU20YY\PT Conversion Files directory:
Employees.CSV
Customers.CSV
Chart of Accounts.CSV
Vendors.CSV
You renamed the export file.
Re-export, but don't change the name of the export file.
CONVERSION FAILED! If you have already exported a client from within Sage 50 (PeachTree), you may not have specified the required 'Save-To' directory.You should export to : \CWU20YY\PT Conversion Files No files exist in the\CWU20YY\PT Conversion Files directory You saved to the wrong location. Re-export to the correct directory
