Why was my Illinois partnership return rejected when "E" was selected for the field "Exclude from pass-through entity payments" on screen ILK1?
Reject Code IL1120B-3100-3 states:
If Sch B Step 2 Col B contains 'I', then the same occurrence
of Sch B Step 2 Col F cannot contain 'E' or 'N'.
Reject Data Value: E
This E selection on IL screen ILK1 is not valid because the screen indicates the partner is an individual.
The instructions with Form IL-1000-E specify that "Individuals may not make the exemption election."
