14088: IN - EF Message 1262

Indiana EF Message 1262 states:

Electronic filing NOT allowed.

On the W-2 screen at least two of the four withholding and wage amounts are identical (Federal withholding, State wage, State withholding, or the local withholding).

Indiana does not allow e-filing of a return when this condition is met. Verify if the amount entered is the same for any two of the following: 

• Federal withholding
• State wage
• State withholding
• Local withholding

If the amounts recorded on screen W2 were entered identically by mistake, edit the data entry to correctly reflect the amounts showing on the taxpayer's form W-2. If the amounts entered on screen W2 were entered correctly, the return will need to be paper filed.

You may want to contact the issuer of the W-2 to verify the withholding and/or wage amounts reported on the W-2.
