Drake Accounting®: How do I delete a client file?

 

To delete the client file:

  1. Go to Client > Delete.
  2. From the list, select the check box next to the client for deletion and click Delete. You also have the option to delete more than one client, if necessary.

  3. At the prompt, review the client file information, and click Yes to confirm the deletion. (If there are multiple clients you wish to delete, the prompt will ask you if you want to do this for the other clients that you have also selected.) 

The active client (the client currently open) is not displayed in the list of clients that can be deleted. To delete the currently open client you must change to another client, then proceed with deleting that particular client.

Drake Accounting® automatically creates a backup of the client file when it is deleted. This backup can be restored by going to Client > Restore.
