What is the purpose of the SUMMARY page in the View/Print mode of my return?
The SUMMARY page is available in the View/Print mode of most federal return types (except 709). The Summary page lists demographic information from the return as well as a general breakdown of the amounts reported on the return, which includes a summary of any state(s) included with the federal return.
A comparison of current year and prior year will also be displayed on this page if prior year data is entered on the COMP screen on the Miscellaneous tab of data entry. This screen will populate automatically when a return is updated from prior years.
