16412: 990-T - Filing the Extension

990 Tax Exempt

Can I e-file the 8868 extension form for a 990-T return?

Yes, the 8868 extension for Form 990-T can be e-filed.

Note: If the 8868 for another 990 form type was filed and accepted prior to generating the extension for the 990-T, the EF Status in the Calculate window will continue to show "Accepted" for the 8868.  As long as there are no other ETD Messages producing, the 8868 for Form 990-T will be placed in the EF Selector for e-file.
