Drake Accounting®: Can I create a deposit slip to print from the software?


Beginning with Drake Accounting 2021, bank deposit information can be entered and a deposit slip can be printed.  

Go to Financial > Bank Deposit to enter "on the fly" bank deposit information.  You will be able to print a report that shows total amounts for cash and checks.  Creating a bank deposit slip from this screen does not generate any accounting transactions.

Creating a New Bank Deposit

To create a new bank deposit:

  1. Go to Financial > Bank Deposit.
  2. Select New.
  3. Enter a Deposit ID.  This can be anything and include numbers and special characters.
  4. Enter the Deposit Date for which you will be making the deposit.
  5. Enter the Account Number.
  6. Select the sunburst icon () to add cash and/or check totals.
  7. Select a Payment Method of either cash or check.
  8. If using check, enter the Check Number.
  9. Enter the Amount being deposited.
  10. Continue adding new items as needed.
  11. If you are going to take out any cash from the deposit, enter the amount in the Less Cash field.
  12. To view a preview of the deposit slip, check Preview on Save.
  13. Select Save.
  14. To print the slip, press the printer icon in print preview or select the Deposit ID in the data grid and select Print.
