Arizona Update 42

  • Individual Package:
    • Line 3 of Form 204E, Individual Extension, no longer doubles the amount of overpayment applied to the next year if an amount has been entered on federal screen ES.
  • S Corporation Package:
    • "0" (zeros) will now be printed on lines A1c, A2, and A3f, when applicable, on Schedule A, "Apportionment Formula," of Form 120S, Arizona S Corporation Income Tax Return, preventing reject 2050.
    • If using "Standard" apportionment (line A of Form 120S), then lines A1c, A2, and A3f cannot be blank.

Maryland Update 39

  • All Packages:
    • Two new lines and calculations were added to Section D of MD screen MDK1 to correspond to new lines added to MD Schedule K-1:
      • 2. Nonresident/Resident tax paid from this PTE (Form 511)
      • 4. Nonresident/Resident tax paid from other PTE (Form 511)
  • S Corporation Package:
    • Calculations of MD Schedule K-1, Pass-Through Entity Member's Information, Section D, "Nonresident/Resident Tax," line 2 and line 4, have been updated for instances when the pass-through entity has only one resident member and is filing Form 511, Maryland Pass-Through Entity Election Income Tax Return.
  • S Corporation and Partnership Packages:
    • The program now excludes tax-exempt organizations when calculating member's tax paid by the pass-through entity.
    • Two new lines and calculations were added to Section D of MD screen SCHB to correspond to new lines added to MD Schedule K-1:
      •  2. Nonresident/Resident tax paid from this PTE (Form 511)
      • 4. Nonresident/Resident tax paid from other PTE (Form 511)

Missouri Update 38

  • Individual, Corporation, S Corporation, and Partnership Packages:
    • When "AS" is selected as a foreign address on federal screen 1, Drake Tax now recognizes this as "Australia," and not as American Samoa, making Form RD-108, Kansas City Profits Return, ineligible for e-file.

Montana Update 29

  • Corporation Package:
    • When either line 2h, "Federal capital loss carry over utilized on federal return," or line 3f, "Capital loss incurred in current year," of Form CIT has a value, then federal Schedule D will now be available for inclusion with the return by clicking the "Attach PDF" icon in View/Print mode. When there is no PDF created for Schedule D, EF Message 1097 will be generated.
    • Line 3f, "Capital loss incurred in the current year," will work as a direct-entry field for only MT capital losses not taken on federal Schedule D.
  • Corporation, Individual, Partnership, and S Corporation Packages:
    • EF Message 0145 now prevents the word, "VARIOUS," from being entered for "Date of purchase," on MT screen RCYL, preventing reject "DARKPARSE" for the element "EquipDatePurchaseMTOnly."
