17382: Gmail - Attachment File Size Limit

Email

When I try to send an email with an attachment in the software, I get an error message about insufficient storage. How can I fix this?

If you have Gmail setup as your active email account within Drake and you attempt to send an email with attachments from within the program, you may receive the following error message:

Gmail allows for their users to send up to 25 MB in attachments. If there are multiple attachments present, their combined total cannot be greater than 25 MB. If your file size is greater than 25 MB, Gmail automatically adds a Google Drive link in the email instead of including it as an attachment. However, this only applies if you are working directly within Gmail itself. This cannot be done within the tax software, as Drake does not support the Google Drive option. As a result, any attachments over 25 MB will have to be emailed from outside of the software.
