How do I resolve Reject F8962-070?

 

The IRS is expecting Form 1095-A to be included on the return. To resolve the reject, enter the details from Form 1095-A on screens 95A and 8962, as applicable. This generates Form 8962, Premium Tax Credit, in View/Print mode. Once complete, recalculate and re-transmit the return.

If the taxpayer did not receive the form in the mail (sent out at the end of January), they can retrieve it from HealthCare.gov.

If the taxpayer did not get the advanced PTC, or have coverage through the Marketplace, use one of the check boxes at the bottom of screen HC. If neither checkbox applies, use screen SCH > type of attachment ACA to enter your own explanation. Once complete, recalculate and re-transmit the return.
