Are there any age limitations to apply for (receive) a bank product?
All banks currently have the same age requirement. The taxpayer (and secondary taxpayer, or spouse, if married filing jointly) must be at least 18 years of age to apply for any bank product. EF message 5117 generates if the taxpayer (or spouse, if MFJ) is not over 18 years of age based on the birth date (or dates, if MFJ) on Screen 1.
