Why am I receiving a red message regarding "Loss year" on a Georgia Corporate Return?
EF Message 0008 states:
A loss year must be entered for every line entered on the GA NOL carryforward worksheet. GA screen 9.
This generates to prevent a GA Reject Message:
Error(xxx,x): The element 'NOL' in namespace 'http://www.irs.gov/efile' has invalid child element 'IncomeYear' in namespace 'http://www.irs.gov/efile'. List of possible elements expected: 'LossYear' in namespace 'http://www.irs.gov/efile'.
On GA screen 9, Sch 9 NOL Carryover Worksheet, a Loss Yr, entry is required for any line containing information. In this example, 2022 and 2023 should be entered in the rows showing the 2022 and 2023 Income Yr entries. The Loss Amt fields for those two years would be left blank.
