EF Message 5206 states:
REQUIRED SIGNATURE FIELDS: If the Return Signature Option "PIN Signature" is selected at Setup > Preparer(s), then the following fields are required on the PIN screen:
* "ERO PIN"
* "Officer PIN"
* "Signature"
* "Title"
* "Signature Date"
The PIN cannot be fewer than five digits and cannot contain letters or symbols. (IRS business Rule R0000-029.)REMINDER: A PIN screen is required when filing Form 8868 with a payment.
To clear this EF Message and have the officer's information appear on page 1 of Form 990, ensure that:
- The ERO PIN, Officer PIN, and Signature Date fields are completed on the PIN screen, and
- The Name, Title, and Address fields are completed on the OFF screen.
- Be sure to select the Signs Return and Principal officer (Form 990, item F) fields on the OFF screen.
