Drake Accounting®: Can I create a deposit slip to print from the software?
Beginning with Drake Accounting 2021, bank deposit information can be entered and a deposit slip can be printed.
Go to Financial > Bank Deposit to enter "on the fly" bank deposit information. You will be able to print a report that shows total amounts for cash and checks. Creating a bank deposit slip from this screen does not generate any accounting transactions.
Creating a New Bank Deposit
To create a new bank deposit:
- Go to Financial > Bank Deposit.
- Select New.
- Enter a Deposit ID. This can be anything and include numbers and special characters.
- Enter the Deposit Date for which you will be making the deposit.
- Enter the Account Number.
- Select the sunburst icon () to add cash and/or check totals.
- Select a Payment Method of either cash or check.
- If using check, enter the Check Number.
- Enter the Amount being deposited.
- Continue adding new items as needed.
- If you are going to take out any cash from the deposit, enter the amount in the Less Cash field.
- To view a preview of the deposit slip, check Preview on Save.
- Select Save.
- To print the slip, press the printer icon in print preview or select the Deposit ID in the data grid and select Print.
