Drake Software offers classroom-style training on our Drake Tax programs. Drake instructors will guide you through engaging and informative courses designed for beginners and veterans alike. CPE credits are available for attending Classroom Training webcasts.

Drake Tax Basics en Español – Webcast

  • 4 hours — $89

  • This webcast is presented in Spanish. New Drake users will learn how to prepare tax returns in Drake Tax, view and print returns, e-file returns and use various Drake tools, including the Client Status Manager, Update Manager, and more.

Drake Documents and Drake Portals en Español – Webcast

  • 3 hours — $69

  • Presented in Spanish, learn how to use Drake Documents and Drake Portals to streamline workflow, store documents digitally, and serve clients who can’t make it into the office. Explores all the benefits and features, including how to collect e-signatures either in person or online.

On-Demand Webinars

Recorded on-demand webinars help new preparers become familiar with Drake Software and serve as a review for experienced preparers. Webinar recordings allow you to view live webinar content on your own schedule.

Tip  Continuing Education Credits (CPE) are not available for recorded webinars. To earn CPE, attend Classroom Training.

Drake 101 – Configuración y Herramientas del Programa

  • This is a basic course designed to assist Drake Software users with the required and basic program setup and Tools menu in Drake Software. Learn to log in and set up Drake Tax. Understand the required settings and other setup items listed on the Setup menu. Recognize several features under the Tools menu used in everyday practice.

Drake 101 – Transmisión Electrónica

  • This is a basic course designed to assist Drake Software users with the required setup and steps to successfully e-file tax returns. Learn to apply for an EFIN, set up Drake Tax to electronically file tax returns, e- File returns using four steps in Drake Tax, understand the different types of filing acknowledgments, access the EF Database, and diagnose and resolve electronic filing rejections.

Drake 101 – Entrada de Datos

  • This is a basic course designed to familiarize Drake Tax users with navigating data entry while preparing a tax return using Drake Tax. Learning to create or open a return, navigate within data entry screens, enter basic tax return information, and view and calculate a tax return.
