The Annual Filing Season Program is a voluntary program designed to encourage non-credentialed tax return preparers to participate in continuing education (CE) courses. Drake Software offers a 6-hour AFTR course on DrakeCPE.com.

The Annual Federal Tax Refresher Course (AFTR) and required Continuing Education courses must be completed by December 31st (prior to the beginning of the tax season) in order to be eligible to receive a Record of Completion.

Why You Should Participate

Earning your IRS Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP) – Record of Completion boosts your professional credibility and grants limited representation rights before the IRS. Plus, you’ll be listed in the IRS Directory of Federal Tax Return Preparers, making it easier for clients to find you. For details, check out our AFTR FAQs or visit DrakeSoftware.com/AFSP.
