Overview

Banks will only process bank products for the current filing year. Requests for bank products on prior year returns will not be processed. If you intend to offer bank products, you must choose from these banking partners:

Once you have selected the bank that you wish to partner with, you must complete a Drake bank application for each EFIN through which you intend to offer the products. The procedure for that is described below.

Note  You can only partner with one bank at a time when offering bank products. You should choose which bank you wish to partner with before beginning to e-file returns.

Application Steps

Caution  Although information on file from last tax season may pre-fill your Drake bank application, you are still required to complete, confirm, and submit your application. The bank that you select may also require additional steps.

  1. Select a bank. The banks listed above offer tax products through Drake Tax. You can view general information about their tax products by logging in to Drake Support, going to Products > Bank Product Providers and then selecting the bank you wish to review. The banks themselves establish application and eligibility requirements and determine the products they offer. For the most current information, contact the bank directly.

  2. Complete the Drake bank application. Both single site or multi-enterprise accounts can complete a Drake bank application on the support site by following these steps.

    1. For single site offices, complete these steps:

      1. Log in to the Drake Software Support website and go to Account > Account info.

      2. Review your Account Information and edit fields as necessary.

      3. Click Save at the bottom of the screen.

      4. Select Bank Application from the drop down at the top of the page.

      5. Select your bank from the list.

      6. Review or complete the bank application and choose to either Save and Finish Later, or Submit Completed Application.

    2. For multi enterprise offices, complete these steps:

      1. Log into the Drake Software Support website > Account > Account Info to update your account information for the current filing year. The Master EFIN must complete the required settings before accessing the bank application and other account information, and before sub-offices can access account information and the bank application.

      2. Go to the Drake Software Support website.

      3. Enter the master login credentials. Click Sign In.

      4. Complete the Recommended First Steps.

      5. Be sure to click Save at the bottom of the page after completing the required fields.

        Note  You must update and save the Master EFIN Account Information and Bank Application before the sub-offices can complete their bank application.

      6. From the home page, select Account > Bank Application. Select your bank from the drop list.

      7. Review or complete the bank application and choose to either Save and Finish Later, or Submit Completed Application.

  3. Complete any additional steps your bank requires, including these:

    • EPS Financial

      • Complete the Drake bank application.

      • Complete compliance training on the EPS website.

    • Republic

      • Complete the Drake bank application.

      • Complete compliance training on the Republic Bank website.

    • TPG

      • Complete the Drake application.

      • TPG will contact you to supply a PIN (or you can call TPG), which permits online access to TPG products and services.

      • Complete compliance training on the TPG website before you transmit.

    • Refund Advantage

      • Complete the Drake bank application.

      • Contact Refund Advantage about completing Compliance Training.

    • Refundo

      • Complete the Drake bank application.

      • Contact Refundo about completing Compliance Training.

Prior Year Information

If you transmitted through Drake last year, your actual statistics from the previous year are displayed in the Prior Year Information section of your bank application. You can send that information to the bank by selecting Have Drake send the bank the actual data from last year's e-filing under Prior Year Information.
