Drake Accounting consists of two different levels of security. In addition to security for the application itself, you can create security on an individual client basis. This article discusses client specific security measures.

Client-Specific Security

To create client based security, you can create a password for each client. Go to Client > Edit > Contact Information, create a password for the client. Click Save once you are finished with this screen.

Set a client password

The next time you open the client file you will be prompted to enter the password:

Enter Client password

Password Recovery

If you have forgotten the password for a client file, click Recover Client Password on the Enter Client Password screen:

Recover client password link

This will send a temporary password to the email on file with Drake Software. Note that the temporary password is only valid for 5 minutes.

Important  This recovery process is only available in DAS24. If you have set a password in a prior year of DAS and need assistance recovering it, contact Drake Accounting Support at (828) 349-5908.
