Important  On Thursday, March 13, 2025, it came to our attention that Mississippi business return extensions, Form 83-180, were not being accepted by the state. As a result, previously submitted Forms 83-180 were rejected with MS Reject "1018." To prevent further rejects, e-filing has been temporarily disabled for Form 83-180.

We are actively working with the MS DOR to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. In the meantime, you will need to request an extension using one of these methods:

  • Pay Amount Due Online

    • Mississippi will grant an automatic extension of time to file if the tax due amount is paid on or before the due date – March 17, 2025. Payments can be made online at www.dor.ms.gov > Taxpayer Access Point.

  • Paper-file Extension

    • Complete MS screen EXT. Then, print and mail the completed extension Form 83-180, with a check for the expected amount due, to the address listed on the bottom of the form.

We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused and appreciate your patience. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
