State/city returns can be suppressed by making a selection on the PRNT screen. To remove unneeded state return instructions and refresh the result letter and transaction summary pages, press Ctrl + Shift + R while inside data entry of the return. Then calculate and view the return again– references to the form name as well as any payment made for those forms will be removed from the result letter.
This may apply to returns where a state supplemental form or city return was filed separately from the federal/state return. Examples include the CT-300, NYC-300, and IT-204-LL.
