Drake Accounting - Reconcile Checks Without Affecting the COA

Overview

If you have outstanding checks/deposits that cannot be entered in as journal transactions due to various reasons, you can still enter them in the Bank Reconciliation without it affecting the Chart of Accounts.

  1. Go to Accounting > Bank Reconciliation.

  2. Select the correct account from the Account drop list.

  3. Enter the Statement Date.

  4. Enter the Starting and Ending Balance.

  5. Click Load Transaction.

  6. Click thenew icon button on the right side of the screen next to the Bank Report column.

  7. Enter the checks/ deposits.

  8. Click the Left blue arrow icon blue arrow pointing to the left to move the record under the Book Report column.

  9. Once the process is complete, click Finish.

To view a transaction listing report, go to Accounting > Reports > Transaction Listings. You can view the By Reconciliation Type report.
