Drake Tax - EF Message 0460

To clear EF Message 0460, go to Foreign tab > 2555 screen in data entry and click the 2555 - Part 2 tab. Review the Date bona fide residence ended entry. To meet the Bona Fide Resident Test, the taxpayer must be a “… resident of a foreign country or countries for an uninterrupted period that includes an entire tax year.”

• If the end date is December 31st of the current year or the box Continues is marked, the Date bona fide residence began must be January 1st of the current year or earlier.

• If the end date is before December 31st of the current year, then Date bona fide residence began must be January 1st of the previous year or earlier.
