EF Message 1391

To clear EF Message 1391, use one of the options detailed below.

• If the taxpayer was a full-year resident of CA, go to the States tab > CA > screen NR. Delete the screen using Ctrl + D.

• If the taxpayer was a part-year resident of CA, go to federal screen 1 and change the Resident state drop list selection to PY for part-year. Then, to enter part year dates, use the California NR screen located on the CA General tab.

• If the taxpayer was a non-resident of CA, go to federal screen 1 and change the Resident state drop list selection to the state of residency.
