How to clear California EF Message 1391

To clear EF Message 1391,

• If the taxpayer was a full-year resident of CA, go to the States tab > CA > screen NR > Delete the screen using Ctrl + D.

• If the taxpayer was a part-year resident of CA, go to federal screen 1 and change the Resident state drop list selection to "PY" for part-year.

• If the taxpayer was a non-resident of CA, go to federal screen 1 and change the Resident state drop list selection to the state of residency.
