How to clear EF Message 5286 in an individual return

EF Message 5286 generates if on the DIV screen, the sum of lines 2b, 2c, and 2d is greater than line 2a. Anything entered on lines 2b, 2c or 2d of the DIV screen is included in a total that must be entered on line 2a. The total cannot be less than the sum of lines 2b, 2c and 2d. Return to the DIV screen and make the appropriate adjustments.

The Instructions for Form 1099-DIV, box 2a specify to "Enter total capital gain distributions (long-term). Include all amounts shown in boxes 2b, 2c, 2d, and 2f."
