Drake Tax Online - Updating Returns from a Prior Year

To bring client data forward, the return must have been calculated or viewed in the prior year. Then you can update return information from the prior year by following these steps:

1. Log in to your Drake Tax Online dashboard and launch the appropriate year of Drake Tax Online.

2. Click Create return.

3. Enter and confirm the SSN/EIN.

4. Enter the client's name.

5. Click Create return.

6. Select Yes, I'd like to import when asked whether you want to import the return.

7. The return will open with available prior-year data carried over.

   Note  Not all information is updated from year to year.

8. The client will then appear in return search results, recent returns, etc.
