How to clear EF Message 5102 on a 990 return

EF Message 5102 generates when there is missing information for the books in care of on either the OFF screen or screen 1.

Go to screen OFF in data entry and find the officer for whom you have checked the Books in Care of option box. Make sure that the officer’s name is accurate. Remove any punctuation or special characters in the fields for that officer. Other required information includes the street address, city, state, zip code, and phone number.

There is also a Books In Care Of override section on screen 1. If using the overrides on this screen, ensure that all required information is entered correctly.
