Drake Accounting - Entering an Employee without an ID Number

Overview

If an employee ID number is not available, employees may be created using nine zeros (000000000) as the ID number, provided the ID type selected is Other. This satisfies Federal W-2 requirements when no ID number is available.

If this employee was to later receive an ID number, you can go back and add that by going to Employees > Employee Setup > Select Employee > Personal Information Tab > Federal ID.
