EF Message 5604 indicates that the Federal Form 1040 has already been e-filed and accepted.

You can verify the e-file status using methods described in Drake Tax – Search EF Database, Common Acks, and Rejection Codes.

Tip  On the ESUM screen, verify that 1040 is showing on the first line. If another form number is showing there, contact Drake Support for assistance at (828) 524-8020.

Any states that have not already been sent and accepted can still be e-filed by clearing the messages for those states and transmitting.
