IRS - MeF Production Maintenance Shutdown Times

The IRS will be conducting system maintenance on the the following days and times. These maintenance periods are in addition to the annual scheduled maintenance / blackout times (see Drake Tax - Annual IRS Maintenance Shutdown Period for e-Filing Returns). The federal and state e-file system, including the ability to transmit returns and retrieve acknowledgments, may be unavailable during these times:

• Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 7:00 am. until 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.

  • Returns can still be transmitted, but all other services will be unavailable.
