Drake Tax - VA: EF Message 0307 Locality Codes

Some ZIP Codes overlap cities and counties, or may be used by multiple counties. Drake Tax uses a ZIP Code data base that selects the first option it finds, whether city or county, obtained from US. resources.

You can override the locality code on VA screen 1. This would be the code where the VA income was earned.

In order to clear this EF Message, go to States > VA > screen 1 (Demographic Info - Residency/Filing Status), and enter the correct locality code for the taxpayer and spouse, if applicable.
